What we focus on

TransFocus specializes in gender diversity work that directly affects trans and non-binary people, particularly where decisions involve real spaces, real people, and public accountability.

This includes situations where:

  • staff unsure of how to handle issues

  • access and safety intersect

  • law and lived experience don’t align neatly

  • people hold strong or conflicting views

  • the cost of getting it wrong is high

Functionally, this means we focus on reducing implementation failure—by addressing structural ambiguity early and helping people carry decisions out without unnecessary conflict or harm.

It helps surface concerns early, reduces defensiveness, and makes it possible to work through difficult trade-offs without polarization stalling progress.

While we consider needs across the gender spectrum, TransFocus specializes in trans and non-binary inclusion.

We do not provide broad equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) consulting, leadership development, pay equity analysis, or representation-focused initiatives.

This focus allows us to go deeper where misunderstanding, harm, and risk most often occur.
