About TransFocus
TransFocus creates greater inclusion of gender diversity in organizational cultures and structures. We do this in a deliberate and gradual way. Uniquely, we listen to transgender people and cisgender people to identify issues and develop solutions. It is important to understand the unique challenges that face transgender people while also knowing what cisgender people need during education and change processes. This allows a balance between various needs.
TransFocus consists of associates located around the world with specific professional expertise and lived experience, including trans women, non-binary people, and trans men, who are fluent in multiple languages, including English and French. The team is led by Kai Scott.
We acknowledge that our offices are located on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam Indian Band), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish Nation), specifically the place name of Iy̓el̓shn (“good footing” - also known as English Bay).

Most clients initially think the changes are going to be quick and simple, but are surprised by their complexity. -
TransFocus creates a safe space for up to 10 people to practice in order to minimize negative impacts, and increase confidence.
NEW: Stress-free Allyship
TransFocus is introducing an innovative and effective option for small group dialogues that help people to continue the learning journey beyond the basics of gender diversity by identifying and removing stressful thoughts (e.g., “my mistakes will hurt trans people”). Here is what we do with a group of up to 10 people:
TransFocus facilitator uses an inquiry-based approach to walk attendees through reoccurring stressful thoughts about trans issue.
Attendees make surprising realizations that free them to be present and responsive to trans people’s needs.
Attendees reduce hesitation and gain confidence on trans issues, sparing them missteps.
TransFocus is hosting a FREE demo of this new type of session. Space is limited, so register to join us on December 4 at 12:00pm (Pacific) or 3:00pm (Eastern).
